Here, the answers are given in the subjects own words which give the respondents the full lenience to speak volumes about themselves.

On the other hand, if the organization plans to choose the feedback from the customers according to its questions, then it is worthy to choose close-ended questions. Here, the respondents are to choose from the limited numbers of answers as given in the surveys. Therefore, the nature of the response received fundamentally depends on whether the question is of open or closed type.
